St Columba’s Catholic Church has a rich history spanning more than 100 years as it has provided a Catholic Christian service to the local community.
St Columba’s Catholic Primary School Wilston has been a significant part of that journey since 1917. Our school first opened on 22 January, with an enrolment of 106, growing to 250 by year’s end.
Today, our enrolment numbers are increasing as many families seek to be part of our catchment for primary years Prep to Year 6.
We have responded to this demand by implementing more than $4m of new buildings and facilities. These projects form part of a long-term strategy to meet enrolment demand and to ensure we have modern first-class educational facilities.
Our staff at St Columba’s share a strong vision for teaching and learning that conforms to the wider Brisbane Catholic Education Teaching and Learning Framework. For more information see Vision for Learning and Teaching.
Our strong connection with the Parish Priest and Parish community ensures that we offer a quality and inclusive Catholic Education.
Having built on the early traditions established by the Good Samaritan Sisters, we share a spirit of compassion and justice within our school community.
This community spirit has been further strengthened by our parents, staff and children over more than 100 years.
