Senior’s Get-Together
Seniors’ get together & Mass
Are you a senior, we are thinking of you and care about your wellbeing. In our community we are happy to have lunched our senior’s get-together day. It’s an opportunity for our senior parishioners to come together outside the confines of their homes to socialise, pray and share a meal.
When: Usually 4th Thursday of every Quarter at 11am. Next one, Thursday 26th September 2024
Where: St Columba’s Church Wilston
You can get involved as well by joining in organising or providing transport. Courtesy of the Social Committee.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
What 'Children's Liturgy of the Word' means
The term 'Children's Liturgy of the Word' refers to the practice of children leaving the Sunday assembly during the Liturgy of the Word and gathering elsewhere to celebrate a separate Liturgy of the Word that is more appropriate to their level of understanding.
We celebrate children’s liturgy in our parish at St. Columba’s Church, Wilston twice a month - 2nd & 4th Sundays of each month during the 9:30am mass, while Enoggera 3rd Sunday of each month during 9am mass, except during school holidays. We have a team of experienced faithful and dedicated mothers that volunteer and who look after this special and important ministry. Of course utmost care is given to the safety and protection of children in line with the archdiocesan Safeguarding Policy.
